PERSONAL TRAINING

We have a great team of personal trainers here at the club who would love to help you meet your personal training goals! 

1 hour long sessions typically cost £45- £65 per session. 30 Minute sessions are normally charged at £25 

We also have 2 apprentice Personal Trainers who charge £25 for 1 hour. They can be contacted here:

Barry Gardener

Barry is the Gym Manager and also works as a Personal Trainer at the club. He regularly teaches Spin and weight trains. Outside of the gym he rows, runs and mountain bikes for his cardio training.

Sporting Achievements

  • Iron Man: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, 26.2 mile run in 11 hours 18 mins

  • Medalled 4 times for GB in the European championships under 19’s 

  • Silver in both the Open-weight and Light-weight Doubles events at the National Rowing Championships of Great Britain

  • Lead groups through the 3 peaks challenge 5 times

  • Kayaked the entire length of the River Severn, 136 miles in 2 days with 3 hours sleep

  • Completed Tough Mudder

  • Completed numerous Half Marathons (best time: 1 hour 21 mins)

David Bell – RE:AL Performance Coaching
 
Since taking up cycling almost 10 years ago and challenging himself in several events, including triathlon, David discovered a passion for helping endurance athletes – beginner, intermediate and advanced – to move, feel and perform better.
 
Combining this with 13+ years strength training experience, David created RE:AL Performance Coaching – which brings together his qualifications in Personal Training, Sports Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise and aims to take any athlete from any starting point to any goal, through his 3-step RE:AL Athlete® Method: stabilisation, strength and power. 
 
Whether you’re just getting started, have hit a plateau or simply want to see what more you’re capable of, David will work with you to design a strength, fitness and mobility programme to get you from where you are, to where you want to be.

Tom Wilkinson - Boxing, Muay thai and Kickboxing
Tom started kickboxing teenage years and has loved it ever since, starting with Kickboxing and then moving to Muay Thai and MMA before taking on Boxing. He currently fights in 21CFC. He has spent time training in Thailand and has had the opportunity to train with some of the best coaches and fighters in the world.

Tom brings a fresh approach to fitness and weight loss, providing different option for those looking to work develop their fitness and learn something new. Whether you're looking for a good sweat session or to really improve your fighting skills with Boxing or Muay Thai or just to get in shape and build some muscle and fitness then this is something for you.

Reece Pearce

Since starting training in 2014 Reece has always been interested in sports and exercise. From 2019-2021 he participated in powerlifting and was able to deadlift in excess 250kg.

After increasing his strength, he went on his weight loss journey and reduced his body weight from 108kg to 80kg within the year!

Reece loves to partake in many sporting activities in his free time, whether that is going to the gym by himself or going for a run in the countryside. His goal in personal training is to be able to help everyone who trains with him to meet their goals. Whether that is to lose body weight/fat, increase muscle strength/mass or, just to help people reach their fitness goals.

Ben Charge - Apprentice Personal Trainer

Starting his journey at 58kg and barely having any muscles or strength, Ben started a high protein and high calorie diet to help him pack on 35kg worth of muscle and is now sitting at 93kg. He is and bigger and stronger than he ever imagined he could be. 

He took up bodybuilding 3 years ago and has grown in passion to help those that want to achieve their dream physic and hit their weight goals.

Ben specialises in weight loss and weight gain for those who may not feel they have reached their full potential. His approach helps his client attain their self improvement and add discipline goals through integrating training into their lifestyle.

If you want to see what the human body can really do or just become the best version of you, Ben will help you to achieve your goals with a range of different exercises and movements and you create a healthy lifestyle.
